Born in America, Joy Cheung was raised in Hong Kong. She is an active student studying at the International Schools Foundation Academy. Joy is fluent in multiple languages including English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

The Story

She is curious and often takes on difficult tasks to challenge herself. Ever since she was a child, she has been exposed to numerous opportunities to try new things, thus, she grew up with an open mind. Joy has received the ISF Magna Cum Laude award consecutively for multiple years. She is also part of the school’s badminton, crosscountry, track & field, Chinese and English debate teams. Joy started playing badminton at an early age and soon blossomed into a member of the Hong Kong Junior Badminton Team. 

 

As a well-liked and responsible leader, Joy was selected as one of the two prefects of her grade and currently devotes lots of her time and effort to her leadership responsibilities. In addition, she was selected as the ISF Wood House Core Sports Leader and a member of the Service Student Voice Committee at her school. 

 

Being raised with three brothers, Joy has acquired a maturity beyond her years. Though one of them is a year older, She finds herself taking care of all three. Over the years, Joy has developed as an independent, responsible, and thoughtful individual. In the future, Joy plans to pursue a career related to business, entrepreneurship, marketing, or economics, but is eager to be inspired by what the future holds.
