Phoebe Hu is a freshman at the Academy of Allied Health Sciences. As a passionate and hardworking person, she is determined to improve the quality of healthcare for the underserved.
The Story
During middle school, Phoebe visited one of the elementary schools as part of a leadership club. She helped out with an activity called “Pumpkin Math” where the second graders had to sort and count the seeds in a pumpkin. Working with these young students allowed Phoebe to realize that she can do more in the world. This moment motivated her to use what she knew to make a beneficial impact on society. As Maya Angelou once said, “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”
Phoebe is active at school. She is secretary of the freshman class council and a part of many clubs. However, aside from academics, Phoebe is also very diverse. She participates in both the New Providence High School girls soccer team and the Football Academy NJ club. Additionally, she enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele. Phoebe is also interested in and has experience with both digital and traditional art.
Phoebe hopes to follow the pre med track and attend a great university. She wants to enter the medical field as a neurologist and be able to help others.
